All can be hand fed as you leisurely stroll around the grounds and take in the ornate surrounds. Outside there are over 200 animals including goats, donkeys, pigs, cows, alpacas, deer, roosters, hens, ducks and horses. Seeing her joy these new experiences was the highlight for me! My two-year-old daughter Sophie squealed with delight when she was able to hold a duckling, cuddle a chick and pat a super-soft rabbit. The pond area sees a myriad of ducklings enjoying the water, as well as chicks. Inside the barn presents an opportunity to pat calves and milk a dairy cow. Two very well-trained farm dogs are also there to greet you! The moment you walk through the door you are welcomed by the super friendly staff who are passionate about what they do and the welfare of their beautiful animals. Having been in the Nye family for over 40 years, this picturesque piece of the Shire has been operated by the local mum of three Alisa Nye for the past 21 years. With Michelle Byrne Golden Ridge Farm in Dural, is probably one of the last working farms for people to visit in Sydney providing the perfect place for families to get hands on experience of farm life, create lifetime memories and support a family owned business all at the same time!
